Actress Kareena Kapoor extended warm birthday wishes to Akshay Kumar with a sweet and musical message, sharing a throwback picture of the two actors dancing together.
In the picture, Kareena and Akshay can be seen enjoying a fun-filled moment. Akshay is seen smiling with both hands raised in the air, while Kareena strikes a ‘thumka’ step. The actors also twinned in black outfits, adding to the playful vibe of the photograph.
Sharing the picture, Kareena wished Akshay and wrote, “Ek aur gaana ho jaye,” adding a musical touch to her birthday message.
Kareena and Akshay have shared the screen in several films over the years, including Ajnabee, Dosti: Friends Forever, Aitraaz, Talaash: The Hunt Begins, Gabbar is Back, Kambakkht Ishq and Good Newwz.
Their association extends beyond their on-screen collaborations. Akshay has known Kareena since she was young and has worked closely with her sister Karisma Kapoor as well as her husband, Saif Ali Khan. Over the years, he has often spoken affectionately about Kareena and said he feels protective towards her.
Akshay Kumar turned 59 on September 9 and received an outpouring of birthday wishes from family, friends and colleagues on social media.
Among those who wished him was actress Raashii Khanna, who shared a fun dance video featuring Akshay and Vidya Balan. Alongside the video, she praised Akshay for making people around him work hard while keeping the atmosphere light and full of laughter.
“Here’s to the man who makes everyone around him work hard and laugh harder. More dance, more mischief, more you. Happy birthday, Achche Sir! @akshaykumar,” she wrote.
On his birthday, Akshay also shared a reflection inspired by his upcoming project Haiwaan. Taking to Instagram, the actor wrote about the difference between appearances and reality and suggested that things may not always be as they seem.
“On my birthday, a small thought… What looks evil may not always be evil. And what looks good may not always be good. Maybe that’s what Haiwaan taught me,” Akshay wrote.
Thanking fans for their continued support, he added that the upcoming film would show audiences “a side of me you haven’t seen before” and invited them to watch it in cinemas.
