Amritsar Soormas registered a massive 67-run victory over Mohali Kings in the Sher-E-Punjab T20 League at the I.S. Bindra Stadium in Mohali, with Naman Dhir producing a breathtaking 173-run knock.
Batting first, the Soormas posted a mammoth 279/7 in 20 overs, with Dhir smashing a record-breaking 173 off just 64 deliveries. The right-handed batter’s sensational innings included 16 fours and 12 sixes.
Dhir attacked the Mohali bowlers from the outset, finding the boundaries regularly and maintaining a high scoring rate throughout his stay at the crease. His ability to clear the ropes with ease while also finding gaps helped Amritsar build a huge total.
The Soormas were 63/2 in the fifth over when Dhir was joined by Jashanpreet Singh. The duo immediately accelerated the innings, taking the attack to the bowlers and putting Mohali under pressure. They added a quick 120 runs for the third wicket to provide Amritsar with the perfect platform for a big finish.

Chasing 280, Mohali struggled to build momentum from the beginning. The Soormas kept taking wickets at regular intervals, preventing the Kings from establishing a substantial partnership or maintaining the required run rate.
Jaskaranvir Paul attempted to keep Mohali’s hopes alive and hold the innings together, but lacked sufficient support at the other end. He eventually fell for 76 off 41 balls as wickets continued to tumble.
Shubham Rana was outstanding with the ball for Amritsar, claiming 4/30 in four overs. His wickets at crucial stages ensured that Mohali never came close to the target.
Mohali Kings eventually finished on 212/9 in their 20 overs, handing Amritsar Soormas a comprehensive 67-run victory.
Dhir’s extraordinary 173 off 64 balls remained the defining performance of the match as Amritsar produced one of the tournament’s most emphatic wins.
