NEET Case: Fast-Track Trial Against Accused a Commendable Step: Kewal Singh Dhillon

Chandigarh, July 23, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab President Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the Central Government has made it clear that the nation’s youth and students remain its highest priority.

He said that the decision to conduct a fast-track trial against those involved in criminal acts such as the NEET paper leak is a historic and much-needed step to ensure strict punishment for the guilty.

Dhillon said that the Prime Minister’s directions to take every possible measure to safeguard the future of students clearly demonstrate that anyone found guilty of playing with the future of the country’s youth will not be spared at any cost.

The BJP Punjab President said that the Central Government has treated the NEET matter with utmost seriousness. Acting on the Prime Minister’s directions, the entire case was handed over to the CBI for investigation, which has acted swiftly and arrested 13 accused so far.

He further stated that, keeping the interests of students paramount, the NEET examination was reconducted and its results have already been declared, ensuring that students do not lose an academic year.

Launching a sharp attack on the Congress party, Dhillon said that despite the transparent and stringent steps taken by the government, the Congress, the Aam Aadmi Party, and other opposition parties continue to exploit innocent students and children in an attempt to revive their sinking political fortunes.

He asserted that no political party will be allowed to play politics with the future of the country’s students and youth. The BJP-led Central Government remains firmly committed to protecting the hard work, aspirations, and dreams of every young Indian. If you’d like, I can also make it sound more like a professional political press release for the media, with crisper news-style language.
