The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is set for a significant administrative change at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, with newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra (Retd) scheduled to assume full charge of temple operations on Monday.
Mishra will oversee the temple’s administrative functioning and is expected to remain in Ayodhya and within the temple premises, signalling a more direct approach to the day-to-day management of the complex.
His appointment comes amid concerns and allegations regarding the theft of offerings made by devotees at the Ram Temple. The Trust has brought in Mishra with the stated objective of strengthening administrative oversight and ensuring more effective management of temple-related activities.
His assumption of charge is expected to bring greater focus to the management of devotees’ offerings, security arrangements and routine administrative operations. However, specific details of any new systems or operational changes have not yet been disclosed.
The Ram Temple draws a large number of devotees from across India and abroad, making crowd management, visitor facilities, security and transparent handling of offerings key aspects of its administration.
Mishra’s decision to stay in Ayodhya and remain available at the temple premises is expected to facilitate closer monitoring of daily operations and quicker coordination among officials overseeing different aspects of temple management.
The appointment assumes significance as the temple administration seeks to address concerns surrounding the handling of offerings and maintain public confidence. Officials said the move reflects the Trust’s focus on strengthening administrative supervision at one of the country’s most prominent religious sites.
Further developments are expected after Mishra formally takes charge and reviews the existing systems and functioning of the temple administration.
