Bengaluru, September 27, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has provisionally attached movable and immovable assets worth Rs 442.35 crore in a money laundering investigation involving Gameskraft Technologies and its associate entity RummyTime Technologies, which operate online real-money games, particularly rummy games and tournaments.

The action was taken under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, with the agency issuing Provisional Attachment Order No. 40/2026 dated September 25 under Section 5(1) of the law.

According to the ED, the companies operated brands including RummyCulture, RummyPrime, Playship and RummyTime and had a user base of around three crore people across the country. The attached assets include fixed-deposit balances, commercial shops, a villa and residential properties held in the names of family members, private family trusts and associated entities of Gameskraft shareholders.

The investigation was initiated based on multiple FIRs registered in Telangana involving alleged cheating offences under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, which are scheduled offences under the PMLA.

The ED said searches conducted at the company’s offices and the residential premises of its directors and key employees during May 7-14 and June 20-21 led to the seizure of documents, digital devices and electronic records.

The agency alleged that a significant number of users were located in states where online real-money gaming was banned, including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. It said the companies charged platform commissions of 10 to 15 per cent on users’ staking or wagering amounts.

The ED further alleged that despite assuring users that the platforms were transparent and free from automated players or bots, the companies deployed bots against users without their knowledge or consent, resulting in financial losses and generating alleged proceeds of crime.

According to the agency, the alleged proceeds were subsequently layered through dividend payments and share buybacks and invested in mutual funds, bonds, convertible notes, equity shares and high-value movable and immovable assets, including properties held through family trusts and associated entities.

Earlier, the ED had frozen movable assets worth Rs 495 crore, seized Rs 11 lakh in cash and gold and diamond jewellery, including 2.30 kg of bullion, and provisionally attached properties worth Rs 1,906 crore.

With the latest action, the total value of proceeds of crime attached, frozen and seized in the investigation has reached Rs 2,843 crore, the ED said.
