Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday launched the Delhi Udyog Mitra Portal to provide investors with easier, transparent and paperless access to approvals for setting up businesses in the national capital.
Delhi Industries and Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa announced the launch on social media platform X, describing the portal as a major step towards improving the ease of doing business in Delhi.
“A simpler, faster and more transparent Delhi for businesses. Today, CM @gupta_rekhaJi launched the Delhi Udyog Mitra Portal under #SevaSankalpAbhiyan, marking a historic milestone in our efforts to strengthen Ease of Doing Business in Delhi and make it easier to start, run and grow a business,” Sirsa said.
He said the portal, guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, has been integrated with the National Single Window System and currently brings together more than 50 services across over 15 Delhi government departments.
The platform is expected to expand soon to offer more than 100 services across 21 departments through a single digital interface, Sirsa added.
Businesses can use the portal at **http://sws.delhi.gov.in** to submit applications, obtain approvals, track their applications and access grievance redressal services. The minister said the system offers paperless processing, end-to-end tracking and transparency.
Earlier, Sirsa also shared details of a meeting held at Paryavaran Bhawan to strengthen Delhi’s winter air pollution control strategy. The meeting was chaired by Union Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav and attended by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
Sirsa said the meeting focused on reviewing major sources of air pollution in Delhi, improving ongoing pollution control measures and strengthening ground-level monitoring through better coordination among departments.
“Providing clean air and a healthy environment to the residents of Delhi is our responsibility, and this responsibility is not limited to any one season. The Delhi government is continuously working in a technical and scientific manner, 365 days a year, 24×7, for pollution control,” he said.
He added that pollution control efforts would be strengthened through the implementation of suggestions and directions given by Yadav. Sirsa said the government’s objective under Gupta’s leadership was to provide clean air and a better environment to Delhi residents.
Delhi Cabinet Minister Sahib Singh was also present at the meeting, Sirsa said.
