Global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas took a nostalgic trip down memory lane as husband Nick Jonas and his brothers Joe and Kevin Jonas released their latest song, “Listen When Sad”.
Priyanka shared a compilation of photographs capturing special moments from her relationship with Nick, including their early days together, travels and family memories. Reflecting on the song’s lyrics, she recalled the summer of 2017 when she gave Nick her phone number.
“Oh yes! I do remember, the summer, I gave you, my number… circa: summer 2017,” Priyanka wrote on Instagram, while promoting the Jonas Brothers’ new track.
“Listen When Sad” was released on August 28 and nostalgically explores memories of young love, including a reference to a summer when a girl gave someone her number.
Priyanka’s compilation also featured a photograph from a family holiday in Goa, with her cousin and actress Parineeti Chopra, brother Siddharth Chopra and other family members. Parineeti reacted to the post, writing: “Dayum that Goa trip was THE ONEEEE”.
Priyanka and Nick’s love story began with a social-media exchange. On September 8, 2016, Nick reportedly sent Priyanka a Twitter direct message saying that mutual friends thought they should meet. Priyanka asked him to text her instead, as her team had access to her social-media account, leading to Nick getting her number.
The two later met for drinks in New York and attended the 2017 Met Gala together after being invited by designer Ralph Lauren. Their relationship became serious in 2018, with Nick proposing to Priyanka later that year.
The couple married in a lavish wedding in Jodhpur in December 2018 and are parents to their daughter, Malti Marie.
