Mumbai, October 22, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Investigators probing the firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff have learnt that the accused allegedly test-fired their weapon at a location near Mumbai before the attack. The firearm also reportedly misfired while they were testing it inside their hotel room in Andheri, according to police sources.

During interrogation, the accused allegedly disclosed the location where they practised shooting. One suspect reportedly fired two rounds, while the other fired one, as they sought to check whether the weapon was functioning properly before carrying out the attack.

Police sources said a misfire also occurred during a test inside the hotel room, with a bullet reportedly being fired onto the bed. The incident apparently did not alert hotel staff or anyone outside the room.

Investigators are examining the alleged practice site and other details to establish how the accused prepared for the firing.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Police arrested two more suspects on Wednesday, taking the total number of arrests in the case to 10. The duo is expected to be produced before a court in Sonipat, Haryana, for transit remand before being brought to Mumbai for further questioning.

The two suspects allegedly played a significant role in supplying weapons linked to the case. Police are investigating their connections with the other accused and their suspected involvement in planning and executing the incident.

Investigators are also examining an audio clip containing an alleged threat against Tiger Shroff. Officials plan to compare the voice in the recording with samples held in databases maintained by the Punjab and Delhi Police.

These databases reportedly include voice recordings of individuals allegedly associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Police units in Punjab, Delhi and Rajasthan maintain separate collections of voice samples that can help establish a speaker’s identity.

Similar verification procedures have been used in investigations involving alleged threats against actors Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, filmmaker Rohit Shetty and the late politician Baba Siddique.

Police are analysing the audio recording and other evidence to identify those involved and determine their alleged roles in the case.
