The Central Government has today approved the long-pending Rajpura–Mohali Rail Link Project, marking a milestone for Punjab’s connectivity. Dr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha from Punjab expressed his deep satisfaction at this achievement, recalling that he had been consistently raising this demand since he entered Parliament in 2022.
Dr. Sahney said that From the very first session I attended in the Rajya Sabha, I had highlighted the urgent need for this rail link, which is vital for Punjab’s trade, industry, students and daily commuters.
Dr. Sahney also said that he had personally met Sh. Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Railway Minister and S. Ravneet Singh Bittu Minister of State for Railways several times to press this demand on behalf of the people of Punjab. The Rajpura–Mohali Rail Link will boost regional economic growth, create jobs and ease travel for countless families. I will continue to be a strong voice for Punjab’s development in Parliament.
