Actress Sonam Khan took a nostalgic trip down memory lane as she shared a throwback picture with filmmaker Rajiv Rai from the sets of the 1988 action drama Tridev.
Sharing the photograph on Instagram, Sonam expressed gratitude for the memories she made while working on the film and for the continued affection it has received from audiences over the years.
“Throwback to Tridev. 1988. On set with director Rajiv Rai, during the making of a film that became so much more than just a film to me. Grateful for the memories and for all the love you all have given it even after all these years,” she wrote.
Backed by Gulshan Rai under the banner of Trimurti Films Pvt. Ltd., Tridev featured an ensemble cast led by Naseeruddin Shah, Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Madhuri Dixit, Sangeeta Bijlani, Anupam Kher and Amrish Puri, among others.
The film was a box-office success and was later remade in Telugu as Nakshatra Poratam, starring Suman, Bhanuchander Prasad and Arun Pandian in the principal roles.
The film also continues to remain a nostalgic favourite for its music. As Tridev completed 37 years of its release on July 7 this year, Jackie Shroff also revisited memories of the blockbuster. He shared a series of photographs from the film on his Instagram Stories with the caption, “Celebrating #37YearsOfTridev.”
The montage featured several memorable scenes from the film.
The music of Tridev was composed by Kalyanji-Anandji and Viju Shah, with lyrics by Anand Bakshi. Songs including Oye Oye, Gali Gali Mein Phirta Hai, Tirchi Topiwale, Raat Bhar Jaam Se and Main Teri Mohabbat Mein continue to be remembered by music lovers.
Romesh Bhalla handled the cinematography, while Naresh Malhotra headed the editing department.
