Punjabi singer, actor, producer and director Gippy Grewal has expressed solidarity with students protesting over alleged examination irregularities, saying it is “heartbreaking” to see young people across the country struggling and calling for their voices to be heard.
In a post on X, Grewal said students were seeking nothing more than fairness, an opportunity to be heard and the chances they deserved.
“It’s heartbreaking to see students across our country struggling. They aren’t asking for too much — just to be heard, treated fairly, and given the opportunities they deserve. Hoping their voices are heard and a fair solution comes soon. 🙏🏻 #StandWithStudents”
Although Grewal did not mention any political party or specific protest by name, his remarks came amid the ongoing nationwide debate following student demonstrations over alleged examination irregularities and recent protests at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.
The singer’s message has drawn attention on social media, with many users welcoming his support for students and their demand for a fair resolution to the issue.
