Haryanvi brother duo Banjaare are expanding the reach of regional music with their back-to-back successes ‘Bairan’ and ‘Barsaat’, with their latest track gaining traction across Indian and international music platforms.
‘Barsaat’ has emerged as one of the notable regional-language releases of 2026, crossing 40 million streams across audio platforms and recording more than 35 million views on YouTube.
The song has also made its presence felt on major platforms and charts, including Spotify, YouTube, Billboard, Apple and Shazam. It recently reached No. 1 on Spotify India, according to the duo.
Adding another high-profile association to the track, ‘Barsaat’ has been featured in the Indian promotional campaign for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The song’s evocative sound and emotional narrative were chosen for the promotional campaign by Sony Pictures Entertainment India.
For Banjaare, the momentum builds on the success of ‘Bairan’, which gave the duo confidence that their music could find an audience beyond Haryana.
“This moment feels surreal. ‘Bairan’ gave us the confidence that our sound could connect with audiences far beyond Haryana, but seeing ‘Barsaat’ reach No. 1 on Spotify India and featuring in global charts has taken that belief to another level,” the duo said.
