The Rajasthan government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle ahead of the expected enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct for the upcoming urban local body elections, transferring 26 IAS and 53 Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officers.
The reshuffle also includes the posting of 14 trainee IAS officers as Officers on Special Duty (OSDs) in the offices of District Election Officers across various districts.
The transfers follow directions from the State Election Commission to shift officers who have remained posted at the same location for three years or more. Several RAS officers were also transferred last week.
Among the key changes, Nitya K., Commissioner of the Ajmer Development Authority, has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Energy Department, while Rashmi Rani, CEO of Jaisalmer Zila Parishad, will replace her as Commissioner of the Ajmer Development Authority.
Girdhar, CEO of Sri Ganganagar Zila Parishad, has been appointed CEO of the Bhiwadi Integrated Development Authority. Utsah Chaudhary, Commissioner of the Jodhpur Development Authority, will serve as Joint Secretary in the Disaster Management Department.
Dhaygude Sneh Nana, Secretary of the Alwar UIT, has been appointed Commissioner of the Bikaner Development Authority. Gaurav Budania, CEO of Sawai Madhopur Zila Parishad, will take charge as Commissioner of the Ajmer Municipal Corporation, while Shalukhe Gaurav Ravindra, CEO of Alwar Zila Parishad, has been appointed Secretary of the Bhilwara UIT.
Six IAS officers awaiting posting orders have also been given fresh assignments. Lalit Goyal has been appointed Joint Secretary, PWD; Abhishek Jain, CEO, Sri Ganganagar Zila Parishad; Pritam Kumar, CEO, Udaipur Zila Parishad; Saksham Goyal, Joint Secretary, Water Supply Department; Bhesare Shubham Ashok, CEO, Jaipur Zila Parishad; and Pratibha Daya, CEO, Karauli Zila Parishad.
Kaluram, who was earlier Special Assistant to Rajasthan Minister of State for Energy Hiralal Nagar and placed on APO status on August 12, has been appointed Registrar of Rajasthan University.
Kailash Chand Sharma, Additional Registrar of the Revenue Board, has been appointed Secretary of the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education.
Three RAS officers — Ashu Chaudhary, Ranjita Gautam and Suresh Kumar Rao — have been placed on Awaiting Posting Orders status. Mahavir Singh-II, ADM Karauli, has been appointed Secretary of the Rajasthan Textbook Board, replacing Ranjita Gautam.
With the Model Code of Conduct expected to come into force shortly, the Department of Personnel has directed transferred officers to join their new assignments immediately. District Collectors and heads of departments have also been instructed to relieve the officers without delay, with disciplinary action warned in case of non-compliance.
