Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) today honoured Delhi Chief Minister Mrs. Rekha Gupta and Cabinet Minister Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa for successfully organising 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib ji at Lal Qila.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion at Mata Sahib Kaur Auditorium at Mata Sundri College for Women (DU) , DSGMC President Mr. Harmeet Singh Kalka and General Secretary Mr. Jagdip Singh Kahlon said that we are honoured that Delhi Government led by Mrs. Rekha Gupta has successfully organised on grand scale this historic day at historic Lal Qila. He said that this government has created history by organising this function.
They said that there was no shortcoming in this function which was organised jointly by DSGMC and the Delhi Government.
They said that this function has taken message of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib to each and every house in Delhi, in the country and on the other countries of the world. They said that they have thanked all the organisations of the Sikh community but thanking this government led by Mrs. Rekha Gupta was also must.
They said that this Government stepped out of its way to organise this function on sacred days related with Guru Sahib. They said that this government was our own government and we have every right to take up every issue with them.
They said that Sikhs of Delhi were proud of the fact that today Sikh community was being represented by Mr Manjinder Singh Sirsa in the government and their issues were being resolved through him.
They said that they were happy to learn that Delhi government has announced to observed this 350th Shaheedi diwas through out the year.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Mrs Rekha Gupta thanked DSGMC for honouring her and their government but said that it was her duty to observe this great day. She said that she and her government is always available to members of the Sikh community for any issue being faced by them.
Addressing the gathering Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that he was thankful to all the members of the Sikh community who have extended full support for the initiatives of the Delhi government led by Mrs. Rekha Gupta for great days of Sikh community. He said that Sikhs of Delhi and the country have always stood by the BJP and will always do so which has always supported the community members.
