Aarav Kumar, the elder son of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and author-entrepreneur Twinkle Khanna, made a rare public appearance with his mother and younger sister Nitara at the airport on Thursday.
The family was seen making their way towards the airport entrance, with Twinkle accompanying both her children.
Twinkle opted for a casual travel look, wearing a blue-and-white striped shirt with distressed blue jeans and white sneakers. Nitara was dressed in an all-white outfit comprising a sweatshirt, matching track pants and sneakers.
Aarav kept his look understated, wearing a dark jacket over a white T-shirt, blue jeans and dark shoes. He also carried a brown sling bag across his shoulder.
Aarav appeared reserved and somewhat shy as the family walked into the airport, maintaining a low profile. He has generally stayed away from the spotlight and makes only occasional public appearances with his family.
Unlike his father, who is among Hindi cinema’s most recognisable stars, Aarav has largely kept his personal life away from public attention.
Aarav was born in 2002 and is the elder of Akshay and Twinkle’s two children. Their daughter Nitara was born in 2012.
Akshay and Twinkle first met during a magazine photoshoot in Mumbai in the late 1990s. They later worked together in International Khiladi, after which their relationship reportedly became closer. Akshay proposed to Twinkle in 2000, around the release of her film Mela.
The couple married on January 17, 2001, in an intimate ceremony attended by around 50 people. They welcomed Aarav in 2002 and their daughter Nitara a decade later.
