Singer Falguni Pathak has released a new one-hour, non-stop Garba album, “Garba Nights with Falguni Pathak”, ahead of the Navratri celebrations.
Describing Garba as a celebration that brings people together, Pathak said the new project was created as a continuous musical journey for the festive season.
“Garba has always been about coming together, celebrating and losing yourself in music and devotion,” she said.
“With ‘Garba Nights with Falguni Pathak’, we have created a completely new musical journey for this Navratri. I am excited for everyone to listen, dance, celebrate and make wonderful memories with these songs,” she added.
Designed to transition seamlessly from one song to another, the album is aimed at Garba grounds, festive gatherings and celebrations with family and friends.
For Tips Music, the release adds to its Garba catalogue by bringing together the label’s musical approach and Pathak’s distinctive voice associated with the Navratri season.
Pathak made her debut in 1987 and has built a substantial fan following across India. Her debut album was released in 1998, and she has also recorded several songs for Bollywood films.
Known for songs largely centred on themes of love, Pathak has also appeared on television shows including “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah”, “Kaun Banega Crorepati”, “Star Dandiya Dhoom”, “Comedy Nights With Kapil”, “Baa Bahoo Aur Baby” and “Pandya Store”.
Her popular songs include “Chudi Jo Khanki Haathon Mein”, “Maine Payal Hai Chhankai”, “Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye”, “Ayi Pardesh Se Pariyon Ki Rani” and “Sawaan Mein”.
Earlier this month, Pathak shared a photograph on social media after meeting playback singer Shreya Ghoshal during a flight. The picture also featured musical duo Vishal-Shekhar.
