The Punjab State Food Commission has expressed deep grief over the demise of one of its founder members, Capt. P.S. Shergil, IAS (Retd.).
Vijay Dutt, Member and Chairman (Additional Charge), along with Commission members Chetan Dhaliwal and Jasvir Singh Sekhon, conveyed their condolences to the bereaved family.
The Commission members said Capt. Shergil had played a pivotal role in the establishment and strengthening of the Punjab State Food Commission and made valuable contributions to its functioning and progress.
They said his dedicated service and contribution to the Commission would always be remembered with respect and gratitude.
The members expressed their deepest sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give the family strength and courage to bear the irreparable loss.
