Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday thanked music composer Aman Pant for the musical tribute ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’, released to mark his 76th birthday and 25 years in public life.
Pant composed the song, which has been sung by Sneha Shankar. The tribute coincides with the Bharatiya Janata Party’s ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ initiative, under which people have been encouraged to light diyas on the Prime Minister’s birthday.
Sharing Pant’s video on X, Modi said personal gestures and blessings hold special significance for him and strengthen his resolve to continue serving the country.
“Some gestures remain very special! Aashirwad Ka Diya is one such expression of affection that has deeply touched me. Every blessing strengthens my resolve to serve our beloved Bharat with even greater devotion,” the Prime Minister said.
The accompanying music video uses the lighting of a diya as a central visual and presents family-oriented scenes depicting the stated impact of various government policies and initiatives on people’s lives.
The presentation connects individual experiences with a broader theme of public service and concludes with a portrait of Modi alongside the words “Jan Seva Se”, meaning “through service to the people”.
Pant and Shankar described the song as a musical dedication marking Modi’s 25 years in public life. The release forms part of birthday-related programmes around the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ campaign, which is also linked to the wider ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’.
Modi began his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister in October 2001 and became Prime Minister in 2014. The BJP’s current campaign is marking the 25-year milestone in his public life.
