Singers Aditya Rikhari and Sanju Rathod are set to feature in the fourth season of ‘Hyundai Spotlight’, a music series bringing established performers and emerging voices together to create original tracks.
The artists recently spoke about what excites them about returning to the platform, from experimenting with new sounds and collaborating across musical styles to reaching listeners in different parts of the country.
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), in partnership with Universal Music Group for Brands (UMGB), has brought back the series for its fourth season, with a focus on established and emerging talent from across India.
The season opens with ‘Pahije’, a Marathi track by Sanju Rathod featuring Juilee Joglekar that combines elements of romance, celebration and fun.
Aditya Rikhari, who returns to ‘Spotlight’ following the success of ‘Gori’ with Ravator, said the new season provides an opportunity to experiment and explore different ways of telling stories through music.
“Coming back to Hyundai Spotlight for another season feels special, especially after the love that ‘Gori’ received. As artists, we are always looking for new ways to tell stories through music, and Spotlight gives us the space to experiment, collaborate and create something we may not have explored otherwise,” he said.
“We are excited for listeners to hear what we’ve created this season and hope they connect with it in their own way,” he added.
For Sanju Rathod, the collaboration offers an opportunity to remain rooted in his musical identity while exploring new creative directions.
“For me, music has always been about staying true to where I come from while finding new ways to take that sound forward. Hyundai Spotlight brings artists with different journeys and musical styles together, and that makes the creative process really exciting,” he said.
“I’m happy to be part of Season 4 and to bring my sound and perspective to a platform that celebrates different voices and gives them the opportunity to reach listeners across the country,” Rathod added.
Devraj Sanyal, Chairman and CEO, India and South Asia, and SVP Strategy, AMEA, Universal Music Group, said the series had become an important part of India’s music ecosystem over its first three seasons.
He said the fourth season would delve deeper into regional music and emerging artists while bringing established performers into collaborations designed to help newer talent reach wider audiences.
Across its first three seasons, ‘Spotlight’ has released 18 original songs featuring artists including King, Aastha Gill, Jassie Gill, Benny Dayal, Shilpa Rao, Nikhita Gandhi, Arjun Kanungo, Hiphop Tamizha, Gurnazar, Javed Ali, Gajendra Verma, Aditya Rikhari and Wazir Patar, among others.
Season 3 featured the track ‘Gori’ by Aditya Rikhari and Ravator. Season 4 brings together Sanju Rathod, Raghav Chaitanya, Ninja and Aditya Rikhari with emerging artists Juilee Joglekar, Mehtab Ali Niazi, Shifaqat Ali and Ravator.
The artists will pair up during the season to create original songs combining their individual musical styles and influences.
