Sunita Ahuja has publicly taken a swipe at her husband, actor Govinda, over his reported association with newcomer actress Komal Rani Swarnkar, saying he should be “ashamed” of being seen with a woman she described as being her daughter’s age.
Govinda was recently spotted at an airport with Komal Rani, who has been linked with the actor amid reports surrounding their forthcoming film Roopa. Asked about the photographs, Sunita said, “Beti ki umar ki ladki lekar ghoom raha hai, shame on him.”
She also mocked the situation by referring to Govinda as a “sugar daddy” and added, “Your sugar daddy is so rich. Dress properly. Just look at our style.”
Asked by photographers about Govinda promoting Roopa with Komal, Sunita questioned whether the film was even ready for promotion.
“First of all, the movie should be made. Promotion happens after the movie is complete,” she said.
Sunita had earlier reacted to Govinda and Komal being spotted together by invoking the Hindi saying “vinash kale viprit budhi”.
“Have you heard the saying, ‘Vinash Kaale, Vipreet Buddhi’? He has lost his mind. This is why he does these things. We can’t tell anything,” she had said.
Responding to those who have described Govinda as “Cheater Number One”, Sunita also said she no longer wanted to engage with questions about her husband.
“Ye question mujhe Govinda ke fans ko puchna hai ki jab main bol rahi hoon koi cheez toh sab mujhe troll karte hain, ab main chahti hoon ki Govinda ke fans aur media ab jawab de, mujhse mat pucho, mujhe koi interest bhi nahi hai,” she said.
Sunita and Govinda married in 1987 and have two children, daughter Tina Ahuja and son Yashvardhan Ahuja.
