Mumbai, August 12, 2026 (Yes Punjab News) Actress Meenakshi Seshadri took a nostalgic trip down memory lane as she recreated her popular romantic song ‘Ae Dil’ from her 1993 film ‘Aadmi Khilona Hai’.
The actress shared a video of herself dancing to the Nadeem-Shravan composition and recalled how the song was filmed against the picturesque valleys of Mahabaleshwar.
“‘Ae Dil’ ek bahut hi khoobsurat romantic gaana hai. Meri film ‘Aadmi Khilona Hai’ se liya gaya hai. Mahabaleshwar ki haseen vaadiyon mein isse picture kiya gaya. Nadeem-Shravan ka yeh geet behad pasand kiya gaya. I had a lot of fun recreating it!” she wrote.
The song was originally featured in ‘Aadmi Khilona Hai’, directed by J. Om Prakash and starring Jeetendra, Govinda, Reena Roy and Meenakshi Seshadri.
The film revolves around Vijay and Ganga, who live happily with Vijay’s brother Sharad. When Sharad’s wife Poonam is unable to conceive, Ganga makes a sacrifice by giving her own child to Poonam.
Meenakshi emerged as one of the leading actresses of Hindi cinema during the 1980s and 1990s. She made her acting debut with ‘Painter Babu’ in 1983, before gaining widespread recognition with ‘Hero’.
She subsequently featured in films including ‘Aandhi-Toofan’, ‘Meri Jung’, ‘Swati’, ‘Dacait’, ‘Inaam Dus Hazaar’, ‘Shahenshah’, ‘Awaargi’, ‘Ghar Ho To Aisa’, ‘Damini’ and ‘Ghatak’.
Her last Hindi film appearance was in Rajkumar Santoshi’s 1996 action thriller ‘Ghatak: Lethal’, which starred Sunny Deol, Amrish Puri and Danny Denzongpa alongside her.
A documentary on the actress’ life, titled ‘Meenakshi Accept Her Wings’, has also been made.
