Something intriguing went down at A.R. Rahman’s recent concert in Navi Mumbai — a moment that had Raanjhanaa fans smiling ear to ear.
Midway through his set, Rahman turned to the crowd and asked, “Should we call our Raanjhanaa here?” as the familiar melody of ‘Raanjhanaa Hua Main Tera’ started to play. The melody swelled, and when Dhanush appeared on stage, the crowd lit up — cheers rising in recognition, the energy unmistakable.
It wasn’t just a cameo; it was a quiet reveal. The celebrated trio of Aanand L Rai, Dhanush, and A.R. Rahman is back for their third Hindi film collaboration, Tere Ishk Mein, after Raanjhanaa (2013) and Atrangi Re (2021). Rahman even joked that they were completing their “trilogy,” much to the audience’s delight.
Dhanush stuck around to perform a few numbers from his latest release Raayan.
Produced by Colour Yellow and T-Series, Tere Ishk Mein is set for a theatrical release on 28th November, 2025. The film will feature Kriti Sanon opposite Dhanush in a love story that’s intense, lyrical, and, if the legacy of Raanjhanaa is anything to go by, emotionally gripping.
A concert turned sneak peek — this surprise moment has only fueled anticipation. And if this reunion is anything to go by, Tere Ishk Mein might just be the year’s most awaited love story.
