Pop star Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently visited George Lucas’ much-anticipated Museum of Narrative Art, getting a preview of the institution ahead of its public opening.
Perry shared pictures from the visit on social media alongside Trudeau and described the experience as an “absolute honor of epic proportions”. She also said she was looking forward to spending an entire day exploring the museum once it opens.
Perry thanked filmmaker George Lucas for hosting them and praised the museum’s focus on art that can move, inspire and encourage people to see themselves as the heroes of their own stories.
In June, Perry had spoken publicly about her relationship with Trudeau, saying she was “very” much in love and describing him as the “love” of her life. She also said the relationship had made her feel more “anchored”, comparing herself to a rainbow kite that can fly high but sometimes needs an anchor.
Perry and Trudeau made their red carpet debut as a couple at the New York City premiere of Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour concert film.
Perry was previously married to British comedian Russell Brand and has a five-year-old daughter, Daisy, with her former fiancé Orlando Bloom.
Known for her influence on contemporary pop music and distinctive camp-inspired style, Perry has been dubbed the “Queen of Camp”. She released her debut gospel album, Katy Hudson, at 16 before achieving mainstream success with her 2008 pop-rock album One of the Boys.
The album’s lead single, I Kissed a Girl, topped the US Billboard Hot 100. Her 2010 album Teenage Dream became the first album by a woman to produce five US No. 1 singles, with California Gurls, Teenage Dream, Firework, E.T. and Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) all reaching the top spot.
Its reissue, Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection, also produced the chart-topping single Part of Me.
