Former Khadoor Sahib MLA Ravinder Singh Brahampura, son of late Shiromani Akali Dal leader Ranjit Singh Brahampura, joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday along with a number of supporters and local leaders.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann welcomed Brahampura and the new entrants into the party, saying their joining would strengthen AAP’s organisational base in the Majha region and across Punjab.
“People who have good intentions for society and Punjab are always welcome in the Aam Aadmi Party,” Mann said. He added that the new members would work together towards the development of Punjab and the vision of a ‘Rangla Punjab’.
Among those who joined AAP along with Ravinder Singh Brahampura were Kanwardeep Singh Brahampura, Amrik Singh Sarpanch, Harjinder Singh Badshah, Balbir Singh Balli, Jatinder Singh Kairon, Fateh, Block Samiti member Parminder Singh Kairon, Gurbhej Singh Kairon, Lovepreet Singh Kairon, Baljinder Singh Gohalwar, Gauravdeep Singh Khaira, Jagmeet Hundal and Gurpreet Singh.
In a post on X, Mann described the joining as a boost for the party at the grassroots level in the Majha region. He welcomed Brahampura and his associates and said the new entrants had joined AAP with a commitment to Punjab’s development.
Mann also said the party would provide the new members with due recognition and work with them towards building a prosperous Punjab.
The newly joined leaders said they would work to strengthen the party’s organisation and take its policies to people across the region.
