Punjab BJP state president Kewal Singh Dhillon participated in programmes organised under the ‘Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra’ in Mohali and Kharar on Tuesday, describing the campaign as a growing mass movement against drug abuse in the state.
Dhillon said the Bharatiya Janata Party had launched the ‘Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatras’ with the objective of raising awareness against drugs and working towards making Punjab drug-free.
Targeting the Aam Aadmi Party government, Dhillon alleged that it had failed to curb the drug problem in Punjab and was blaming the Centre to deflect responsibility for its own shortcomings.
He further alleged that during the AAP government’s tenure, the drug commonly referred to as ‘chitta’ had spread to households across Punjab.
Dhillon said the Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra was receiving participation from people across the state and had developed into a mass movement, with citizens coming forward in large numbers to support the campaign.
