Actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani has voiced his support for Salman Khan’s stand against body-shaming and urged people to be more sensitive and respectful while speaking about others, particularly women.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Jackky shared a video praising Salman for speaking openly about the issue during the television reality show “Bigg Boss”.
Jackky said he had known Salman for many years and praised the way the actor conducts himself, adding that there was a lot to learn from him.
Referring to Salman’s comments on national television, Jackky said the actor had openly expressed what he felt and praised the way he looks and carries himself at the age of 60.
“Honestly, at 60, the way he looks and carries himself is something that many people don’t even manage at 30. So, hats off to him. There’s genuinely so much to learn from him,” Jackky said.
Urging people to maintain boundaries while making comments about others, the “Youngistaan” actor said there should be a line that people should not cross even while having fun.
He said people could enjoy themselves within that boundary but should always know where to draw the line.
Alongside the video, Jackky wrote: “Being a public personality does not mean someone is a public property .. we all have women around us and should be sensitive with the choice of words and our actions ..”
Salman had recently spoken out against online trolling and the manner in which celebrities are photographed by paparazzi during the “Bigg Boss 20 Weekend Ka Vaar” episode.
He questioned the practice of judging or mocking people based on their age, weight, appearance, family background, professional failures or experiences of motherhood.
Salman also called on paparazzi to be more respectful while photographing actresses.
