President Droupadi Murmu on Friday inaugurated the Summer Annuals Edition 2026 of Amrit Udyan at Rashtrapati Bhavan, with the iconic garden set to welcome visitors from August 16 to September 15.
During the Summer Annuals, Amrit Udyan will remain open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the last entry permitted at 5 p.m. The garden will remain closed every Monday for maintenance.
Visitors will enter and exit through Gate No. 35 near North Avenue Road. Entry will be free, but visitors must reserve their slots online in advance through the Rashtrapati Bhavan website. Online booking for a particular day will close at 10 a.m. on the preceding day, and no on-the-spot booking facility will be available.
The visitor route will include Bal Vatika, Pulmeria Garden, Banyan Garden, Bonsai Garden, Babbling Brook, Central Lawn, Long Garden and Circular Garden.
Among the attractions are the Babbling Brook, featuring a water stream with cascades, and the Banyan Garden, which includes reflexology paths.
For visitor convenience, drinking water stalls, first-aid facilities, rain shelters and restrooms will be available along the designated route. Visitors may carry mobile phones, electronic keys, purses or handbags, water bottles and milk bottles for infants.
A shuttle bus service will operate between Central Secretariat Metro Station and the Amrit Udyan entry point every 30 minutes from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Winter Annuals Edition 2026 of Amrit Udyan was previously opened to the public from February 3 to March 31.
Besides Amrit Udyan, visitors can access Rashtrapati Bhavan and the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum from Tuesday to Sunday. The Change-of-Guard Ceremony can also be witnessed every Saturday at the Forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan.
