Actress Preity Zinta visited the Kanapathy Temple in Paris on the last Monday of Sawan and shared glimpses of her spiritual outing with fans on social media.
Preity posted a video documenting her visit, showing her offering prayers, lighting diyas and seeking blessings at the temple. Dressed in white, the actress was also seen participating in the temple rituals.
Sharing the video, Preity described the visit as an unexpected but deeply meaningful experience.
“Who would have thought that I would end up going to the most beautiful Indian temple in Paris on the last Monday of Sawan,” she wrote, adding that the last-minute plan left her overwhelmed as she felt she was “always meant to come here”.
Reflecting on the experience, she said, “The divine and the universe work in unexpected ways. My short trip to Paris has turned out to be extremely sweet after this visit.”
She also encouraged her followers visiting the French capital to explore the temple and thanked her friend Shailza Swami for taking her there.
“Thank you my darling @shailzaswami for taking me here & for making my trip. I’m smiling ear to ear. Ting! Har Har Mahadev,” Preity wrote.
The actress has often spoken about her faith and spirituality, and her latest post offered fans another glimpse of that side of her life.
On the professional front, Preity recently returned to the big screen after an eight-year gap with director Rajkumar Santoshi’s Batwara 1947. The film, which released on August 14, stars her alongside Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal and others.
Set against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition, the film features Preity as Hamida, the wife of Sunny Deol’s character. Produced by Aamir Khan, Batwara 1947 marks her return to cinema after several years away from the big screen.
