Actor and television personality Jay Bhanushali has opened up about his bond with daughter Tara while his estranged wife Mahhi Vij is currently participating in Bigg Boss 20, saying their father-daughter relationship has grown stronger during her absence.
During an Ask Me Anything session on social media, Jay was asked how he was managing Tara while Mahhi is inside the reality show. He said he did not view spending time with his daughter as something he had to “manage”, but was instead enjoying the opportunity to spend more quality time with her.
“Well, I don’t manage, I am really enjoying this time with her. I think the father-daughter bonding is more stronger now,” Jay said.
He also revealed that there were two reasons he wanted Mahhi to remain in the Bigg Boss house. While he wants her to win the show, her participation has also allowed him to spend more time with Tara.
“And yeah, two reasons I want Mahhi to be inside the house. One is like I really want her to win the show. And the second thing is, I get more time with my daughter,” he said.
Jay and Mahhi, who married in 2011, are parents to Tara. The couple has spoken publicly over the years about their relationship, family life and parenting. After reports and speculation about differences in their marriage, the two announced their separation a few months ago but have continued to maintain a cordial relationship and co-parent their daughter.
Jay recently shared a glimpse of his time with Tara, showing himself taking on the role of a hairdresser during one of their father-daughter moments.
Mahhi is currently navigating the challenges inside the Bigg Boss 20 house.
