Actress Janhvi Kapoor has extended her support to Prem Keetanu, the upcoming slice-of-life romantic comedy starring Veer Pahariya, the brother of her beau Shikhar Pahariya.
Janhvi on Monday shared the recently released teaser of the film on her Instagram Stories and expressed her excitement about Veer’s upcoming project.
“Veeru!!! Fresh young fun and masti. @veerpahariya can’t wait for this!!!” she wrote while resharing the teaser.
Prem Keetanu follows a free-spirited college student, played by Veer Pahariya, as he navigates hostel life and experiences dating, heartbreak and other formative firsts.
The film is directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, known for Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai and Aspirants. Aparshakti Khurana, Rakesh Bedi and Nikhil Vijay also feature in pivotal roles.
Produced under the Avanika Films banner, the film is co-presented by Gaurav Verma and Phars Studios in association with Bhavana Studios. Prem Keetanu is expected to arrive in theatres on October 2.
Talking about the project, Karki said he was excited to bring the film to audiences, describing it as a story centred on heart, humour, friendship and the small experiences that make growing up memorable.
“There is a certain madness, innocence and warmth to these boys that I hope comes through in the film,” the director said, adding that he looked forward to audiences experiencing the story on the big screen.
Janhvi and Shikhar Pahariya have frequently been seen together at Bollywood parties, film screenings and family gatherings. Their social media interactions have also attracted considerable attention.
