Producer-actor Jackky Bhagnani has launched a new patriotic anthem, ‘Tere Rang Mein’, ahead of Independence Day, describing it as a heartfelt tribute to India’s unity, rich cultural diversity and the unwavering dedication of the country’s defence forces.
Released under his music label Jjust Music, the song celebrates the spirit of the nation and the emotional bond shared by people from different religions, communities and backgrounds.
Speaking about the anthem, Jackky said the track reflects the vibrant and inclusive identity of India while paying homage to those who safeguard the nation.
“I am a proud Indian, and through Jjust Music’s Tere Rang Mein, we have tried to showcase how diverse and colourful our country is, with people from all religions and backgrounds living together,” he said.
Calling the song a tribute to both the nation and its people, Jackky added, “The song celebrates our rich culture as well as our defence forces. This Independence Day, I hope Tere Rang Mein becomes one of the reasons for people’s joy.”
The patriotic number aims to capture the essence of India’s unity, traditions and shared sense of belonging, making it a musical celebration of the country’s spirit.
Meanwhile, Jackky was recently in the spotlight after candidly speaking about his struggles with body image during an appearance on Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi’s chat show Double Date, alongside his wife, actress Rakul Preet Singh.
The actor revealed that he once weighed nearly 150 kg and recalled being subjected to body-shaming while growing up. Sharing one such incident, he said a family acquaintance once joked to his father that there was no need to bring Japanese wrestler Yokozuna to India because they already had one at home.
Reflecting on those experiences, Jackky said children who are overweight or dark-skinned often become easy targets of bullying, leaving a lasting emotional impact.
