Veteran actor Anil Kapoor celebrated the fifth wedding anniversary of his younger daughter Rhea Kapoor and filmmaker Karan Boolani with a heartfelt message, praising the couple for the bond they have built over the years.
Sharing a picture of Rhea and Karan on his Instagram Stories, Anil wrote that it had been special to watch their journey from friendship to marriage and said the couple naturally complement each other.
“Five years, and so much life built together. From starting as friends to the life you both have created today, it’s been so special to watch your journey unfold. You bring out the best in each other, complement each other so naturally, and make a pretty wonderful team,” he wrote.
Wishing them on their anniversary, Anil added, “Happy 5th anniversary, @rheakapoor & @karanboolani. Love you both, God bless.”
Rhea also marked the occasion with an Instagram post featuring previously unseen pictures from one of the couple’s getaways. Sharing a romantic message for Karan, she wrote, “happy 5 my love, as long as you’re with me it’s TUTTO BENE….17 summers with you and…to go!”
Rhea and Karan first met while working on the 2010 film Aisha. Rhea was associated with the project while her sister Sonam Kapoor played the lead role, and Karan worked on the film as an assistant director. Their friendship eventually developed into a relationship, and the couple dated for several years before marrying in an intimate ceremony in August 2021 at Anil Kapoor’s Juhu bungalow.
On the professional front, Anil Kapoor will next appear in a key role in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer King, directed by Siddharth Anand.
The film is backed by Gauri Khan, Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand under Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures. The cast includes Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Arshad Warsi in pivotal roles.
