Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has been invited by President Droupadi Murmu to attend the traditional ‘At Home Reception’ at Rashtrapati Bhavan on August 15 as part of the 80th Independence Day celebrations.
The ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ actor will be among the distinguished guests at the reception hosted by the President. According to the information provided, Kartik is the only Bollywood actor invited to the prestigious gathering this year.
The ‘At Home Reception’ is a formal Independence Day event hosted by the President, bringing together prominent personalities from various walks of life, including national leaders, armed forces personnel, sportspersons, artists and other notable achievers.
Kartik’s invitation comes shortly after he was honoured with the Best Actor award at the 72nd National Film Awards for his performance in Kabir Khan’s sports drama ‘Chandu Champion’.
In July, the actor shared a video on Instagram capturing his family’s reaction to the National Film Awards announcement. Kartik was seen watching the live announcement with his parents when his name was declared as the Best Actor winner for ‘Chandu Champion’.
The announcement prompted an emotional celebration, with Kartik’s parents hugging and congratulating him. His mother also kissed him on the cheek as they celebrated the achievement.
Sharing the video, Kartik wrote: “Still processing… Some moments are simply bigger than words, and this is one of them. A dream I’ve carried for years has finally come true. Forever humbled, forever grateful…Best Actor National Award #ChanduChampion 🇮🇳.”
The invitation to the President’s reception adds another significant moment to what has been a landmark year for the actor following his National Award win.
