Dr Shriram Nene, husband of Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, has joined the social media ‘Kinda Chic’ trend, turning a collection of family travel memories into a celebration of unplanned moments and experiences.
Nene shared collages featuring previously unseen photographs from the family’s getaways over the years on Instagram. The images carried messages reflecting different aspects of travel, from discovering unexpected moments and admiring city skylines to exploring destinations on foot and experiencing local cultures.
Other messages highlighted the joy of collecting memories rather than possessions, remembering the people behind memorable meals, watching parents create memories of their own and making family time the centrepiece of a trip.
One of the messages read, “Kinda chic to exprience a place through its fabrics, colours and traditions,” while another described travelling extensively and still returning home with an appreciation for familiar routines.
Sharing the post, Nene wrote: “Different trips. Same conclusion: the best bits were never on the itinerary. Kinda chic.”
The post comes months after Madhuri and Nene shared glimpses of their trip to Japan in February.
The couple posted photographs from Fuji, including pictures of themselves posing against the backdrop of a snow-covered mountain. The travel album also featured individual photographs of both Madhuri and Nene.
They further shared a video of themselves dressed in traditional Japanese attire, with Nene seen holding a sword as part of the themed experience.
“Fuji: A view from the top of an active Volcano full of tradition, temples, snow, and samurai,” read the caption accompanying the Japan photographs.
Nene’s latest post continues the couple’s tradition of sharing family travel moments, while placing the focus on experiences and memories rather than conventional tourist itineraries.
