Megastar Amitabh Bachchan left the audience in splits on Kaun Banega Crorepati 18 while offering a humorous yet practical piece of relationship advice to husbands.
During a conversation with a contestant, Bachchan praised him for remembering the exact dates of both his first meeting and wedding anniversary. The actor then used the moment to caution husbands against forgetting important milestones in their marriages.
Addressing husbands among the contestants and viewers, Bachchan said, “Jis din aapka byah hua tha apni patni ke saath, sari duniya ko bhool jaiye, us date ko kabhi mat bhooliyega. Yeh bahut hi mahatvapurna tareekh hoti hai.”
He jokingly warned that husbands who fail to remember their wedding date could face an angry reaction from their wives.
“Aur kahin aapne galti kar di bhai saab, toh joota, chhappal, belan sab chal padega,” he added, drawing laughter from the live audience.
Bachchan, who has been married to actress Jaya Bachchan for several decades, has previously spoken about their relationship and life at home.
In another conversation, the veteran actor revealed that he informs his family in advance whenever a shoot is expected to make him late for dinner, joking that the practice helps him avoid being questioned by Jaya.
He has also said that he takes care of household chores himself when there is no domestic help at home. While admitting that cooking is not his forte, Bachchan recalled asking Jaya to prepare food for him, which he said would prompt her to enthusiastically prepare different dishes and ask whether he liked them.
The actor recently expressed his appreciation for Jaya on Kaun Banega Crorepati 18 after she prepared mango kheer for him when he stopped eating regular kheer.
