Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif faced criticism on social media after making a rare public appearance with husband Vicky Kaushal at filmmaker Kuku Kohli’s funeral in Mumbai.
The couple attended Kohli’s last rites at Oshiwara Crematorium on Wednesday, August 26, a day after the filmmaker died at the age of 77 following a heart attack. Several members of the film fraternity, including Katrina and Vicky, were present to pay their respects.
Pictures and videos from Katrina’s appearance subsequently surfaced online, prompting a section of social media users to comment on her appearance after motherhood. Some comments were particularly unkind, with users questioning her changed look and making remarks about her weight and appearance.
The actress has largely stayed away from the public spotlight since becoming a mother, although she has occasionally shared glimpses of her life on social media.
Katrina and Vicky welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on November 7, 2025. The couple later revealed their son’s name as Vihaan Kaushal and shared a picture of his tiny hand.
The couple had announced their pregnancy in September 2025. They married on December 9, 2021, in an intimate ceremony in Rajasthan.
Katrina has continued to maintain a relatively private approach to parenthood, rarely sharing details about her son or their family life publicly.
