Playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan has opened up about her experience of appearing on the 18th season of the quiz-based reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati, describing the opportunity to sit across from host Amitabh Bachchan as a dream come true.
Sunidhi appeared on a special episode of the Sony Entertainment Television show alongside acclaimed lyricist and poet Prasoon Joshi.
After completing the shoot, Sunidhi spoke to paparazzi and expressed her gratitude at getting the opportunity to take the hot seat opposite the veteran actor.
“Bahut accha lag raha hai, mujhe lagta hai bahut saare logo ka dream hota hain ek baar hot seat par baithna, aur mere liye to bass. Sir ke saamne hona hi bahut badi baat hai, toh mai bahut bhagyashali samajhti hu ki ek baar yeh mauka humein saath mil paya, woh bhi KBC par,” she said.
She said that merely being in front of Amitabh Bachchan was a significant experience and considered herself fortunate to have shared the platform with him.
The episode also featured an interesting anecdote involving actor Sunny Deol. Amitabh Bachchan recalled an incident from an action sequence in which Sunny became so angry during a briefing that he accidentally tore his jeans while trying to pull his hand out of a pocket.
Bachchan recalled that Sunny disagreed with what the action director was asking him to do. He said that after some time, a tearing sound was heard and Sunny realised that he had damaged his jeans while forcefully trying to remove his hand.
Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 18 airs on Sony Entertainment Television.
