The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday declared the results of the Class 12 Supplementary Examination, with 53.08 per cent of the students who appeared for the exams clearing them.
Students can access their results through the DigiLocker results portal as well as the CBSE’s official websites, cbse.gov.in and cbseresults.nic.in. Online marksheets can be downloaded using details including roll number, admit card number, school number and security PIN.
Of the 2,91,576 candidates registered for the supplementary examination, 2,75,287 appeared. The examination covered three categories — compartment, improvement and candidates with six subjects.
A total of 1,64,231 students appeared under the compartment category, while 1,11,056 candidates took the examination to improve their performance.
The Class 12 supplementary examination was conducted on July 28 in offline, pen-and-paper mode at examination centres across India and abroad. The exams were held for students who had failed to secure the minimum qualifying marks in the main board examination, as well as eligible candidates seeking improvement or attempting the main subject again under the six-subject provision.
CBSE said printed marksheets and passing certificates for students, including those studying abroad, would be provided through their respective schools. Private candidates will have to collect their documents from the examination centres where they appeared.
Students of CBSE-affiliated schools abroad can access their results and digital academic documents through DigiLocker, the board said.
The compartment category comprises students who could not secure qualifying marks in five mandatory subjects. Improvement candidates are those who had passed but sought to improve their scores. The six-subject category includes students declared passed after replacing a main subject with an additional subject but appearing again in the main subject in which they had not obtained qualifying marks.
