Former Bigg Boss 20 contestant Rohed Khan has opened up about co-contestant Qazi Touqeer’s game inside the house, saying he initially believed Qazi was genuinely seeking sympathy over his illness but later understood that it was part of his strategy.
Rohed was recently evicted from the reality show and was asked about host Salman Khan confronting Qazi during the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode.
Recalling his experience inside the house, Rohed said he was unaware that Qazi had been telling the audience about his plans and therefore interpreted his behaviour differently.
“When I came out and found out that he was telling people that he was going to do this and that, I found the game amazing. But look at it from the contestants’ point of view. We didn’t know that he was talking to the audience,” Rohed said.
He recalled that Qazi would refer to himself as a patient during arguments, which led Rohed and others to believe that he was using his illness to gain sympathy.
Rohed also explained why he did not hug Qazi when he left the Bigg Boss house. He said he initially felt “cheated” but changed his perspective after watching the events from outside.
“After I got evicted, I felt cheated. But when I came home and saw everything, I understood his game and I respected his game,” he said.
Rohed added that although he shook Qazi’s hand while leaving, he did not hug him because he was still upset. However, he said he would hug Qazi and speak to him once the latter exits the show.
The former contestant also recalled an incident when he jokingly told Qazi that he was a very good actor. According to Rohed, Qazi became emotional and accused him of making fun of his illness.
Rohed said knowing from the beginning that Qazi was performing a game for the audience would have allowed him to interact with him more openly.
“If he had told me from the beginning that this was a game and that he was just acting, maybe I could have openly told him my opinion,” he said.
