Actor-filmmaker Kunal Kemmu took a nostalgic look back at the making of his thriller-comedy Vibe, sharing unseen glimpses from the film’s journey and expressing gratitude to everyone who helped bring the project to the big screen.
In a series of Instagram posts, Kemmu recalled how the team began filming after seeking the blessings of Ganpati Bappa and having his family by his side.
“Day 1 of Vibe. Jitters, excitement and nerves. Nothing can start without the blessings of Bappa and family right by your side. That’s how we began this journey,” he wrote.
One of the photographs featured Kemmu with his co-star Preity Zinta, whom he praised for her portrayal of Madam H. Describing her performance, he called her an “absolute superstar” who brought grace and charm to the character along with a “no nonsense badass attitude.”
Kemmu also offered a glimpse into the challenge of simultaneously directing and acting in the film. Sharing a photograph from the set, he captioned it, “In between checking the frame and acting in it.”
Other behind-the-scenes moments showed him planning shots and discussing scenes with members of the filmmaking team.
Alongside a video featuring moments from the making of Vibe, Kemmu reflected on the experience and thanked the cast, crew and audiences who supported the film.
“It’s been an incredible journey making Vibe. Just a few glimpses and moments from the making of the film,” he wrote, thanking everyone involved in the project as well as those who watched it in cinemas and continued to support it.
Written, produced and directed by Kemmu, Vibe also stars Sparsh Shrivastava and Vanshika Dhir in significant roles.
The film marks Kemmu’s second outing as a writer-director after his 2024 directorial debut Madgaon Express.
