Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has shared a glimpse of his journey to London as he prepares to begin work on his upcoming film ‘Captain India’.
Aaryan took to Instagram on Friday to post a series of photographs and videos from his trip, documenting moments from his journey from Mumbai to London. The photo dump features airport glimpses, the actor listening to music, his luggage and a shot of him reading the shooting draft of the film’s script on a tablet.
Captioning the post, Aaryan wrote, “VABB to EGLL”, using the airport codes for Mumbai and London.
‘Captain India’ reportedly draws inspiration from India’s real-life evacuation of citizens from a war-torn country. A picture shared by the actor also identifies Shimit Amin, known for directing Chak De! India, as the film’s director.
The project is produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar and Baweja Studios, along with Dopamine Studios, while S.B. Films is handling production.
The London trip comes weeks after Aaryan was invited by President Droupadi Murmu to attend the ‘At Home Reception’ at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on August 15. The actor, known for films including Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, was the only Bollywood actor reported to have attended the high-profile Independence Day gathering.
The formal reception brings together prominent personalities from different fields, including national leaders, armed forces personnel, sportspersons, artists and other notable achievers.
Aaryan’s invitation followed his recognition at the 72nd National Film Awards, where he was named Best Actor for his performance in director Kabir Khan’s sports drama Chandu Champion. In July, the actor had shared a family moment on social media following the announcement of his National Award win.
