Playback singer Jubin Nautiyal has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for featuring his rendition of the devotional song ‘Shri Krishna Govind Hare Murari’ in a Janmashtami post celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna.
On the occasion of Janmashtami, PM Modi shared a devotional video featuring Jubin’s rendition, adding a musical dimension to the celebrations. The video shows the Prime Minister paying reverence to Lord Krishna.
Reacting to the post, Jubin said he was deeply honoured that the Prime Minister had once again chosen one of his songs for the festival.
“It’s truly an honour that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has once again chosen one of my songs to celebrate Shri Krishna this Janmashtami. Music finds its highest purpose when it becomes part of our nation’s shared emotions. Deeply grateful and humbled,” the singer said.
The devotional track conveys themes of surrender, faith and devotion, with Jubin’s emotive vocals bringing its spiritual message to listeners.
Composed by Raaj Aashoo with lyrics by Murali Agarwal, the rendition retains the devotional character of the bhajan while presenting it through Jubin’s distinct vocal style.
