After unveiling Ranbir Kapoor’s intense first look, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has now revealed Alia Bhatt’s character from the much-awaited period drama Love & War, offering the first glimpse of the actress in the film.
The newly released poster features Alia in a glamorous, theatrical avatar that appears inspired by the classic cabaret aesthetic of Bollywood. Dressed in a wine-red sequinned outfit comprising a cropped blouse and flowing skirt, Alia is seen seated against an elaborate backdrop of red curtains and sparkling lights, with feathers adding to the stage-ready look.
The styling and presentation of the poster evoke the visual language associated with the iconic cabaret performances of Bollywood legend Helen, particularly those of the 1970s era.
Bhansali Productions shared the poster on social media with the caption: “Aag bhi, dilon ki jaan bhi! Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War on 21st January 2027 See you at the movies!”
The character reveal comes a day after the makers introduced Ranbir Kapoor’s look from the film.
In Ranbir’s first poster, the actor appeared in a retro avatar behind the wheel of a vintage car, sporting slicked-back hair, sunglasses and a moustache. His otherwise composed appearance was contrasted by a bloodied arm and a bullet mark on his shirt, hinting at the film’s war setting.
The poster carried the caption, “Woh rutba, woh raub, woh junoon!” and confirmed the film’s theatrical release for January 21, 2027.
Alia also shared Ranbir’s first look on her social media account, writing, “Hey Handsome.. Love & War in cinemas, January 21,2027.”
Love & War brings together Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles, with Bhansali directing and producing the project.
The film is scheduled to release in theatres on January 21, 2027.
