Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has reflected on the mysteries of the universe, the limits of scientific understanding and the enduring role of faith in a contemplative post on his blog.
The actor pondered questions surrounding space, galaxies and black holes, noting that several aspects of the universe continue to remain beyond definitive human understanding.
“The stars they glide .. but their search eludes us all… no certainty of Space and the galaxy and the black hole,” Bachchan wrote, questioning whether the unexplained aspects of existence are ultimately left to the grace of the Almighty or to forces whose workings remain unknown.
He also wondered why something so intricate and apparently perfect would be created if its underlying purpose and mechanisms were destined to remain beyond human comprehension.
Bachchan went on to examine the relationship between belief and scientific proof. Referring to something he had “read somewhere”, he said the question arises whether belief requires scientific evidence to function.
He contrasted that idea with the argument that faith and prayer can provide people with a sense of fulfilment and answers that cannot necessarily be explained through scientific or mechanical frameworks.
The actor observed that many phenomena remain unexplained and are consequently attributed by some to divine forces.
He also reflected on how belief in the divine continues to be passed on and taught to younger generations, even as the modern world increasingly seeks instant access to information.
Bachchan concluded by suggesting that the ultimate reality behind existence may perhaps never be fully known, leaving readers with a meditation on the boundaries between knowledge, faith and the mysteries of creation.
