Bollywood star couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have welcomed their second child, a baby girl, on September 19, 2026.
The couple shared the news through their official Instagram accounts, posting a joint announcement featuring a tiny footprint and the message, “Welcome baby girl…19/9/2026…Dua, Deepika, Ranveer.”
They accompanied the post with an evil eye emoticon.
Congratulatory messages soon poured in from members of the film industry.
Actress Kriti Sanon wrote, “Awww!! congratulations you guys!!! Dua has a baby sister!!! Such a blessing!”
Singer Shreya Ghoshal and actress Kriti Kharbanda also congratulated the couple, while designer Masaba Gupta commented, “Two girls! What more does one ask for”.
Several other members of the entertainment industry shared their wishes for the family.
A day before the birth, Deepika and Ranveer visited Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple to seek blessings. The couple had also offered prayers at the temple before welcoming their first child, daughter Dua.
Earlier this month, the couple shared black-and-white family photographs featuring Dua, who is now a big sister. In the post, they expressed gratitude for the blessings they had received.
Deepika and Ranveer announced in April this year that they were expecting their second child. The couple had shared a joint social media post featuring Dua holding a pregnancy test kit showing a positive result.
Deepika and Ranveer married in an intimate yet lavish ceremony at Lake Como in Italy in November 2018, after dating for several years.
They welcomed their first child, daughter Dua, on September 8, 2024.
