The Shiromani Akali Dal Punar-Surjit Youth Wing has announced a series of new organisational appointments, expanding its structure with senior vice-president, vice-president, general secretary and district-level office-bearers.
Youth Wing president Gurjit Singh Talwandi said the appointments had been made under the directions of party president Giani Harpreet Singh.
Harwinder Singh Dandoa has been appointed senior vice-president, while Parminder Singh Kapoori has been appointed vice-president.
Four leaders have been appointed general secretaries — Gurdhian Singh Bosar, Sukhchain Singh Hussainpur Jaula, Jobanjit Singh and Tarlok Singh Hajipur.
At the district level, Ajit Singh (Rubal Gill) has been appointed district president of Barnala, while Yunis Malik has been appointed district president of Malerkotla.
The Youth Wing has also announced appointments to its district IT Wing. Vishal Bansal has been appointed IT Wing district president for Barnala. Birinder Singh has been appointed IT Wing district president (Urban) for Sangrur, while Naveen Sharma of village Banarsi has been appointed IT Wing district president (Rural) for Sangrur.
Talwandi said the new appointments would further strengthen the Youth Wing and enable it to work in a more organised manner. He congratulated all the newly appointed office-bearers and expressed hope that they would work with dedication to take the party’s programme to the people.
