Those Who Can’t Manage Law and Order in Their Own States Coming to Punjab to Lecture: Arvind Kejriwal on Amit Shah’s Visit

New Delhi, October 19, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s reported claim of responsibility for the firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff, questioning law and order in BJP-ruled Gujarat and alleging that criminal networks were being allowed to operate.

AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said the BJP was coming to Punjab to lecture people on law and order despite facing questions over the situation in states governed by the party. He alleged that gangsters were being provided facilities to continue their criminal activities.

“They cannot manage law and order in their own states, yet they are coming to Punjab to lecture others. They have treated the country’s biggest gangster like their ‘daamaad’ and provided him with every facility to commit crimes not just in India but across the world,” Kejriwal said.

He added, “On Tuesday, they will come to Punjab to lecture people on law and order. But the people of Punjab know that voting for them would be like inviting their ‘daamaad’ into Punjab.”

Senior AAP leader and Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia also targeted the BJP, alleging that Gujarat’s jails and ports had become safe havens for gangsters and drugs, with several states bearing the consequences.

“The BJP has turned Gujarat’s jails into a safe haven for dreaded gangsters, and the entire country is paying the price. They have also turned Gujarat’s ports into a ‘safe haven’ for drugs coming from Pakistan. Punjab, Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh are bearing the full brunt of this,” Sisodia wrote on X.

Questioning the Centre’s approach to online activity, Sisodia asked why social media pages allegedly linked to gangsters remained active while threats were being issued against prominent personalities.

“Modi Ji’s cyber experts, who are busy crushing Gen Z protests and hurling abuses at young people on the internet, should explain how these gangster pages remain active in India while issuing threats to some of the country’s biggest stars. Has the Indian government deployed its entire cyber force, and all the resources of this so-called ‘mahamaanav’, solely to target Gen Z? Is anyone doing any work to protect the country’s security or not?” he asked.

AAP leader and Kondli MLA Kuldeep Kumar also criticised the BJP over the firing incident involving Tiger Shroff. In a post on X, he alleged that central investigative agencies were used against Opposition leaders who spoke against the BJP and accused the Modi government of protecting criminal elements.

“Whenever an Opposition leader speaks against the BJP, Modi Ji’s Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrive at their doorstep. The aim is to ensure that no actor or celebrity dares to speak against the Modi government. That is why Amit Shah has kept goons like Lawrence Bishnoi under his protection. The Modi government has held this country hostage,” Kumar wrote.

AAP National Media In-charge Anurag Dhanda also alleged that gangsters were being protected in Gujarat and questioned the response to threats and attacks involving celebrities.

“The BJP has treated gangsters like its ‘daamaad(s)’ and kept them safe in Gujarat. Amit Shah Ji has imposed restrictions on taking them elsewhere. So whether they open fire at 8 celebrities or 80, nothing will happen to them,” Dhanda said.

The AAP leaders’ remarks came amid political criticism over the firing incident involving Tiger Shroff and renewed questions about action against criminal networks allegedly linked to Lawrence Bishnoi. The allegations made by AAP leaders were political claims and were not independently established in the statements cited above.
