The Punjab Government on Monday ordered the transfer and posting of three PPS officers on administrative grounds with immediate effect as part of a fresh reshuffle in the police department.
The orders were issued by the Department of Home Affairs (Home-I Branch) under the approval of the competent authority and were signed by Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Alok Shekhar.
According to the notification, Kanwal Preet Singh, who was serving as ADCP Industrial Security, Ludhiana, has been transferred and posted as SP Headquarters, Amritsar Rural. He has also been assigned the additional responsibility of looking after the work of SSP Amritsar Rural till further orders.
Tejbir Singh, who was serving as SP Headquarters, Amritsar Rural, has been posted as Assistant Commandant, 80 Battalion PAP, Jalandhar Cantt.
Meanwhile, Gurbans Singh Bains, presently posted as SP Detective, Patiala, has been transferred as SP PBI, Faridkot. He will also hold the additional charge of SSP Faridkot till further orders.
The government has directed all officers concerned to join their new places of posting immediately.
