Actress and stage 4 cancer survivor Rozlyn Khan has expressed deep distress over her ongoing legal battle, saying the mental pressure has taken a severe toll on her life and health. In a series of emotional social media posts, she also made statements about suicide and said she would hold those she believes responsible accountable if anything happened to her.
Khan alleged that the legal proceedings and a Supreme Court-ordered cost of Rs 5 lakh had added to the strain she was experiencing while undergoing cancer treatment.
In an Instagram Story, she claimed that she was facing continuous pressure despite battling cancer and pursuing her case. She also alleged that individuals connected with the proceedings had visited Kokilaben Hospital and harassed her over the payment.
Khan further claimed that her illness was being questioned, saying she felt there was a lack of empathy for her circumstances. She expressed concern over having to manage the legal dispute alongside her medical treatment.
In another post, she questioned whether the pressure was pushing her towards suicide and alleged that the situation had severely affected her well-being. She named two Supreme Court judges in her statement, holding them responsible if anything happened to her. These were allegations made by Khan in her social media posts.
The Supreme Court recently directed Khan and another individual, Siddiquee, to pay Rs 5 lakh each to the Supreme Court Legal Services Committee. According to court reports cited in the source, the legal dispute has been ongoing for more than 11 years.
Khan’s remarks have brought renewed attention to the emotional strain she says she is experiencing while dealing with the case and continuing her cancer treatment.
