Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn says music has always played a significant role in the Drishyam franchise, adding that the soundtrack has helped deepen the emotional connection between the story and its audience. His remarks came as the complete album of Drishyam: The Conclusion was released.
“The music of Drishyam has always been a character in itself. It brings out the emotions and connects audiences more deeply with the story. It remains an important part of the franchise,” Ajay said.
The soundtrack has been completed with the release of Daastaan: The Drishyam Recap, sung by Sunidhi Chauhan. The song revisits the events of Drishyam and Drishyam 2, tracing Vijay Salgaonkar’s journey and the fear, choices, sacrifices and consequences faced by him and his family ahead of the final chapter.
Sunidhi said the track required her to capture the emotional weight of the entire story rather than a single moment. She aimed to make the rendition feel like a journey through the characters’ memories, balancing the narrative’s dramatic elements with its emotional core.
The album features music by Ravi Basrur, Rochak Kohli and KARMA, bringing together different musical styles. Its tracks include Siddharth Basrur’s Vingansa, Lucky Ali’s Muskura Do and KARMA’s Game Over, alongside the latest release.
Director Abhishek Pathak said the aim was to reflect the different emotions in Vijay’s journey through the music. He described Daastaan: The Drishyam Recap as particularly important for giving audiences a musical overview of the franchise before they watch the concluding chapter.
Composer Ravi Basrur and lyricist Aamil Keeyan Khan also praised the track, highlighting Sunidhi’s rendition and the song’s intensity.
Drishyam: The Conclusion stars Ajay Devgn alongside Tabu, Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Kamlesh Sawant. Directed by Abhishek Pathak, who has co-written the film with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh, it is produced by Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak.
The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 2, 2026.
